Loading and unloading equipment

Goods are loaded and unloaded with a pallet truck or forklift. If there's no loading dock or forklift at origin or destination, let us know before booking: you'll need a truck with a tail lift.

Palletising and stowage

Goods must be secured to the pallet (stretch wrap or strapping) with the weight evenly spread, because in groupage they travel alongside other loads. The carrier positions and secures the pallets in the truck.

Insurance for shipments to Italy

There are two different kinds of cover, and they're easy to confuse:

Carrier's liability

The carrier is liable for damage under the CMR Convention, up to a limit per kilo. It doesn't cover the value of the goods.

Cargo insurance (optional)
